Attend the Governor's Small Business Summit October 5th in
Beaumont
Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas will join the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)
in the presentation of the 2023 Small Business Summit, Thursday, October 5, 2023,
at the Holiday Inn Plaza, Walden Road. Business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs
who attend the seminar learn about state and federal employment laws and the unemployment
claim and appeal process. Event speakers will answer any questions you have regarding
your business. Participants will receive a binder, "Especially for Texas Employers"
manual, and copies of presentations.

The cost to attend the conference is $175.00/person, non-refundable. Seating is

In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), Workforce Solutions
Southeast Texas and our partners will celebrate with special guest, Dr. Temple Grandin,
an award-winning author, professor, and Autism advocate, at the Inclusion Works! Seminar,
Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. The event will be held at the Beaumont
Event Centre, 700 Crockett Street, Beaumont, TX 77701, Other speakers include
Allison Schaberg and Ashley Ford.
Registration is required; lunch will be provided. Seating is limited. Dr. Grandin is also
scheduled to sign copies of her book.

"Hire a Veteran!" Employers, please join Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas and
its partners for the 11th Annual Hiring Red, White & You! Job Fair, Wednesday,
November 8, 2023, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. We will host the event at the Beaumont Workforce
Solutions Center, located at 510 Park Street, on the 1st floor. There is no cost to
attend; WIFI access will be available. Booth space is limited, so please pre-register
today at this link.
The event is focused on hiring opportunities for our Veterans, their eligible spouses,
family and friends. Other individuals looking for work are also encouraged to participate
in the event. There is no cost to Veterans or job seekers to attend.

on a bi-weekly basis. Workforce Solutions staff will assist your recruiters in creating engaging
and informative electronic booths on the Brazen platform to attract skilled, experienced applicants.
