Southeast Workforce Board Welcomes New Member
Michelle Barnette, M. Ed., Owner, director, "The Clubhouse Childcare", was appointed by the Texas
Workforce Commission in October 2023 to serve as a member of the Southeast Texas workforce development board.
In addition to being a small business owner, Ms. Barnette is a Lamar University Alumni and has several
certifications. As a board member she will attend meetings and support the board in strategic planning
and oversight of the workforce programs, including childcare, for Southeast Texas.
Ms. Barnette is the member for Child Care Workforce Representative, Jefferson County, on the board.
We are delighted to have Ms. Barnette join our team and help Southeast Texans!
