Hire a Veteran at the Hiring Red, White, and You! Veterans Job Fair!

For 2023, Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas is celebrating the 12th annual Hiring Red,
White and You! Veterans Job Fair, connecting over 30 employers with Veterans, their eligible
spouses, family, and friends. Southeast Texas employers are ardent supporters of local Veterans.
In 2022, we served over 600 veterans and over 400 Veterans were employed. Employers that hire and
retain veterans can receive up to $9,600 in federal tax credit through the Work Opportunity Tax
Credit (WOTC) program.
Veteran retention is vital to Southeast Texas with the current unemployment rate being 5.8 percent
as compared to one year ago when it was 5.5 percent. The tight labor market offers Veterans an
opportunity to put their skills into action and highlight their dedication, military training,
and expertise for teamwork, for local businesses. Other resources are offered to Veterans,
spouses and transitioning military members include training, higher education enrollment, and
access to the Civilian Occupation Translator, which converts military training to related civilian occupations.
The Hiring Red, White and You! Veterans Job Fair will be held Wednesday, November 8th, 2023, from 10:00
am until 2:00 pm, at the Beaumont Workforce Solutions Center, 510 Park Street, 1st floor, Beaumont, Texas
