Employer Training Program Produces Successful, Certified Workers
On November 5th, S&B Engineers and Constructors celebrated the successful conclusion of
the first Pipeline training in Southeast Texas with the graduates, their families and
friends. Mike Stilley, VP of Education and Workforce Development, opened the event by
congratulating the graduating students for their dedication and drive to improve their
skills and compete for high demand/high wage jobs in the area. As important as completing
the training program, Stilley noted that "success breeds success", the graduates,
set a standard for their children to strive for success in school, in their future
careers, and in life.

Executive Director Marilyn Smith, the Keynote speaker congratulated the students on their success,
"You are part of the manpower solution in Southeast Texas. Employers are facing high demand for
workers who able to meet the challenge of upgrading their skills and securing an industry recognized
credential." Smith went on to commend S&B Engineers and Constructors for their commitment to build a workforce to
meet the demands of the industrial projects. The company's certified training program, which is recognized
and accepted throughout the country, works with individuals from varied backgrounds, willing to be a
part of the industry.
After presentation of the certificates to the graduates, S&B's Chief Executive Officer, James W. "Brook"
Brookshire, extended the company's congratulations and gratitude to the newly certified workers.
"We invest in our employees and provide opportunities to continually improve their skills. Our company
will help you change your life", stated Brookshire.
S&B Engineers and Constructors in partnership with Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas initiated
the 2nd Training Cohort on November 18, 2019. The 16 week training program will be completed
in April 2020. Other Cohort partners include Associated Builders and Contractors, Wells Fargo
Financial Services, and Region 5 Education Service Center.
