Driving Careers Forward: Highlights from the 3rd Annual Transportation
Industry Job Fair
Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas hosted its 3rd Annual Transportation Industry Job Fair
on May 15th, 2024, with 17 employers and over 100 job seekers. Participating employers
included Beaumont Independent School District (BISD), Love's Truck Stop, and the Texas
Department of Public Safety Driver License.
Job seekers engaged directly with employers, gaining insights into job openings and the
required skills and qualifications. Many of the available positions matched our Targeted
Occupations list, offering careers in high - demand and high - growth jobs in Southeast
Texas.
Employers from various sectors, such as logistics, trucking, shipping, and public
transportation, were present, making the job fair a hub of opportunities. The
Transportation job fair was an excellent opportunity to recruit job seekers and
build a pipeline of talent for future hiring needs.
