TWC Appoints Chamber Leader Steve Ahlenius to Board
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) appointed Mr. Steve Ahlenius on April 11, 2023, to the
Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas board. Ahlenius is the President and CEO of Greater
Beaumont Chamber of Commerce.
Ahlenius brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in several important areas including
business development and retention, entrepreneur development, strategic planning & leadership,
budgeting, and fundraising. He is a certified economic developer.
He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute and holds a
Masters degree of Public Administration from Texas Tech University. Ahlenius also earned
a Bachelor of Science degree in history and political science from Wayland Baptist University.
Board members welcome Ahlenius and appreciate the economic development expertise he
will add to the board's operations and oversight. Ahlenius will represent the economic
development sector on the workforce Board.
