Danny Prosperie: Finance Chair
For nearly a decade, Danny Prosperie has diligently served the Workforce Solutions Board in many capacities. Danny’s passion for developing a strong, local workforce is clearly demonstrated not only by serving on three committees, but through his active work with organizations committed to lasting community investment.

As Finance Chair for the last five years, Danny also currently sits on the Executive Committee and the Business Services Committee. By appointment of Governor Rick Perry, he has also served on the Texas Workforce Investment Council since 2006.

“Being a Board member is quite an honor. I serve on the Board as a labor representative, along side some of the most influential people in our community. It’s my job to make sure that the working class is represented,’ said Prosperie. “Across the board, our goals are the same: to increase business and training opportunities and mentor people to a higher standard of living.”

While his job title is difficult to fit on a business card (Training Director for the Beaumont Electrical Training Center representing the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 479 & Sabine Area National Electrical Contractors Association), it captures his dedication to investing training dollars that bring local people and good paying jobs together for the long-term betterment of Southeast Texas.

“Without question, we have the best Workforce Solutions staff in the nation,” Danny added. “That’s from every staff member at the local Centers to the administrative Board staff. It’s a cohesive, enthusiastic and results-driven team. I’m proud to be part of this group.”

Danny also makes times to serve as President of the Sabine Chapter Apprenticeship and Training Association of Texas, State Apprentice Training Advisory Committee as well as chairman of the IBEW Community Federal Credit Union and Vice Chair Administrative Council of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City.

When Danny has time to break away, you’ll find him enjoying the hunting and fishing pleasures that his native Southeast Texas offers.
