Local Chamber President Appointed to Workforce Board
Bill Allen, president and CEO, Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce
Board members welcome Bill Allen, president and CEO, Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, to the workforce board. He began his office at the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce in 2018 and has ensured the agency maintained its 5-star accreditation through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Allen has taken the lead in championing important causes and legislation for Southeast Texas industries, interacting with elected officials in Austin with Golden Triangle Days, a consortium of chambers, business and community leaders. He is committed to the economic and educational success of the area, including local high school students and actively participated in the board's virtual Youth Career Expo, attended by 2,500 students. The Chamber also implemented the Jr. Leadership program, focusing on the development of leadership skills, teamwork, and community awareness for high school juniors.

Allen earned his Masters of Business Administration from Northwood University and has extensive professional experience in financial and operations management, budget analysis, and economic development. Allen was approved by the Texas Workforce Commission in March 2021 and will represent the economic development category.
