Hammon Appointed as Board's New Executive Director
Mary Hammon, Executive Director
Mary Hammon, longtime Deputy and Finance Director was named Executive Director by the workforce board, effective February 1, 2021, during the December 2020 board meeting.

Hammon, who is from Port Arthur, Texas, served as the Board's Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer since 2008. She is a graduate of Lamar University and has worked in the executive staff capacity for the Board since 1991. "I believe that our area is resilient and will recover from the current difficulties. I look forward to working with the Board and continuing to strengthen collaborations with our business, education, and industry partners. Our mission 'building a world-class, competitive workforce', remains focused, as we work together to recover and improve the lives of all Southeast Texans."
