"Salute to Southeast Texas Workforce Week!"

Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas, the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, Beaumont Independent School District and industry partner, ExxonMobil, have joined resources to launch the first "Salute to Southeast Texas Workforce Week." As explained by chamber president, Bill Allen, the workforce week initiative was designed to bring public awareness of available workforce skills training and educational opportunities in Southeast Texas. Additionally, as manpower demands are expected to continue to grow due to a projected $54 billion dollars in industrial and manufacturing expansion projects, the group's goal is to help prepare the youth and other interested individuals compete for high wage/high demand employment opportunities. On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, the Jefferson County Commissioners Court and the City Council, City of Beaumont, issued proclamations in support of "Salute to Southeast Texas Workforce Week".
