(Beaumont Workforce Solutions Center). Live CHAT! is also accessible through setworks.org,
during regular business hours. We encourage our community to utilize our virtual services
for secure communications.
Business and Employer Resources
During this time of crisis, the hurricane storm season and the COVID-19 pandemic,
Workforce Solutions continues to provide resources to businesses to assist with managing
company operations and manpower.
Shared Work program
can assist employers avoid layoffs and help retain their workers
during a slow-down or temporary closure. Shared Work provides employees who choose to
participate the ability to receive unemployment insurance benefits when their normal
working hours are reduced. Companies that participate in Shared Work are required to
Fair Labor Standards Act
allows a business to submit basic worker information to the
Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) for employees who are being laid-off or
furloughed. Mass Claims streamlines the unemployment insurance benefits
process and creates a shell claim for the dislocated workers.

Virtual Job Fairs/Hiring Events
Workforce Solutions has extended virtual resources to include on-line jobs fairs
and customized hiring events utilizing an on-line software platform. This engaging,
virtual experience allows maximum flexibility for a company's human resource (HR)
staff and recruiters to link to individuals looking for employment. Recruiters are
able to post job openings at no cost, review resumes, which, upon request, can be
pre-screened by workforce center staff. Companies may even limit the number of
individuals during a virtual event.
All virtual events are workforce staff-assisted and participating employers will
be invited to test the system prior to launching the live event. Basic internet
access, computer or laptop with visual (camera) and audio/microphone capability
is needed; the platform can be accessed by most mobile devices.
