1. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Issues New Digest The quarterly edition of the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC) federal sector digest is now available.. The EEOC Digest of Equal Employment Opportunity Law (EEO Digest) outlines recent Commission decisions and federal court cases. 2. Tax Rate Decrease for Texas Employers The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) announced the lowest average unemployment insurance (UI) employer tax rate since 2009, 1.37 percent for calendar year (CY) 2018. The TWC press release included statements regarding TWC’s commitment to continue to find effective ways to create a positive environment for business and economic growth.
